Swine Flu Hits Disney World Florida

Officials reported today that there is one confirmed case of the swine flu in Florida. Apparently a person, visiting from Mexico, visited the world-wide attraction Disney World over the weekend.

What exactly is the Swine Flu. Well and according to officials it is a strain of the flu virus and is responsible for killing people in Mexico. Although the number of deaths from this virus in Mexico cannot be confirmed, US Health Officials recommend that people in the U.S. should not panic.

Health officials suggest educating oneself on the swine flu and recommend taking precautions such as, covering mouth/nose when coughing or sneezing, washing hands after using the wash room and/or before eating or handling food.

The good news is that the Swine Flu can be treated with Tamiflu or Relenza and the Federal Government has stockpiled the medication, only as a precaution.

Right now and according to officials, the swine flu is affecting people who have traveled to Mexico and who were exposed while on travel and thus far, the risk of actually getting the swine flu is very low.

Officials have however issued a travel advisory for those with travel plans to go to and/or from Mexico and have started limited screening of travelers entering the country from Mexico, making a proactive effort to prevent the flu from entering the U.S.
